Cézar is a male name.
Cézar is a Brazilian form of Caesar, which was originally a Roman cognomen, that was popular with the Julier family (see Gaius Iulius Caesar).
It is not conclusively clarified, from which Latin term the name Cézar derived, but probably from “caedere”, which which means “to cut out/to hit”. According to a legend, Gaius Iulius Caesar was supposedly born by Caesarean section, which is why he was called Caesar. Cézar therefore means “the one cut out of the womb”.
