Privacy policy of the website Our privacy policy for

For our website, we do not only take data privacy very seriously, but also data minimization. We treat personal data confidentially and according to legal data privacy regulations as well as this privacy policy.

The page can be used without the submission of any personal data.

App stores

The download links on for the app CharliesNames lead to the external providers Google PlayStore and Apple App Store. However, a connection to the providers is only established when you actually click on the links. No data is passed on to third party providers by the exclusive use of the website.

The services linked to the website are subject to the following data privacy declarations of the respective providers:

Integration of YouTube videos

We have integrated our own YouTube videos in, which are stored on and which can be played on our page. This was implemented using iFrames with YouTube’s extended data privacy mode activated. This is why YouTube will not store any of your data initially. If you play a video, however, a connection will be established with YouTube and Google’s advertising network DoubleClick and a data transfer will take place on which we have no influence. YouTube stores the data and creates user profiles for market research and advertising purposes. They also use the profiles in order to design the website in a way that it meets the users’ demands. They will raise this data irrespective of whether you have a YouTube/Google account or not. If you have a Google account and are logged in, the data is immediately linked to your account. If you do not want that, you will have to log out before you click on the video. You will find further information regarding the extent to which YouTube collects and processes data as well as the purpose in their data privacy policy: Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Server logfiles

We record all HTTP and HTTPS accesses in so-called server logfiles for four weeks. Compliant with data privacy, the last digit of the IP address is replaced by zero which makes it still possible to identify a provider, but not a person. We need this data in order to track the activity on our website, identify possible errors and prevent potential hacking.

Cookies in general

We use cookies, i. e. text files which are saved on your computer. Cookies generate user data which is transmitted to our server. You can prevent your computer from storing cookies. One way to do this is to deactivate the relevant browser settings. This may result in a limited use of the website content. Alternatively you can accept cookies manually.

Web analytics

We use the open source software Matomo to access statistics regarding the visitor activity on our website. For this purpose so-called cookies are used. Cookies generate information about the site usage which are sent to our server and stored for analyzing purposes. This in turn allows for website optimization. During this process your IP address remains anonymous, therefore you as a user remain anonymous.
If you do not want your anonymized data to appear in our statistics, you can unsubscribe and withdraw, by either activating “Do Not Track” in your browser, confirming manually or changing the tracking in Matomo.
